Itanagar, Dec 27: The Ramakrishna Mission Hospital (RKMH) was today formally empanelled under the Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY) and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) in a simple function held here at the hospital premises.
Chief Medical Superintendent, TRIHMS Dr Hage Ambing opened the CMAAY/PMJAY kiosk in presence of Secretary RKMH, CEO (CMAAY/PMJAY), doctors & staff of RKMH and officials of MDIndia Health Insurance TPA Pvt Ltd. “With RKMH’s empanelment, more choices would now be available to public for seeking treatment under CMAAY/PMJAY apart from TRIHMS and BPGH Pasighat within the state,” opined Dr Ambing.
Secretary RKMH said that the hospital would strive hard to give better health services to the people and the 1st beneficiary patient has already been admitted under Gynaecology department. RKMH has been empanelled initially for treatment in 10 specialities namely Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Eye, ENT, General Medicine, Paediatrics Medical Management, Neonatal care, Urology, Plastic & Reconstructive surgery, Burns Management and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, out of which, Urology and Plastic Surgery are super speciality departments. CEO (CMAAY/PMJAY) informed that as on December 27, 2019, 90722 families have been enrolled under CMAAY and 3893 individuals have already been benefited under the scheme. RKMH authorities also informed that more departments would be added in due course of time and the CMAAY Enrolment kiosk will cater to the needs of the patients and general public. A half-day orientation workshop on the technical & operational aspects of CMAAY & PMJAY was conducted after the inaugural session for doctors and staff of RKMH by the Program Management Unit (PMU) of CMAAY.
CMAAY is a flagship scheme of the state government which provides cashless health insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakhs per family per year and was launched on August 15, 2018 by the Chief Minister. Dept. of H&FW PR
