DEOMALI, Jun 18: Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar today distributed 50 bicycles to the most underprivileged students and labourers from the neighbouring area in presence of Minister PHE &Water Supply Wangki Lowang.
The cycles were sponsored by Sr. Director, Niru & Co LLC Advocate & Solicitors, Singapore Nirumalan K Pillay in the loving memory of his sister Parameswari. Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar Swami Achyuteshananda in his welcome address extended gratitude to the sponsor for donating the cycles for the needy people of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister praised the contribution of RKM and termed the institution as ‘Nalanda’ of Arunachal Pradesh and advised the boys to follow the teachings of Swami Vivekananda to enrich their lives.
Students and labourers from Deomali & Mopaya area of the state and Namsang Tea Estate & Margherita area of Assam were recipients of the cycles.
