ZIRO, Mar 25:

 

Union Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju flagged off the much needed ambulance of the General Hospital, Ziro today in the presence of local MLA Tage Taki, Deputy Commissioner, Lower Subansiri, Kemo Lollen, former MLA Nani Ribia , doctors, public leaders and medical staff.

 

He also inaugurated an ultrasound machine and a high tech computerized radiographic system (CRS) machine, which were all procured under Corporate Social Responsibility of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation initiated by the MoS.

 

Satisfied with the quality of the medical equipment, Rijiju said that there should be no compromise in the quality of the health sector initiatives.  A healthy society will propel developmental activities and create a vibrant economy, he said while expressing gratitude to the medical fraternity for their services.

 

Earlier, he also laid the foundation stone for the construction of road from Pine grove to Dilopolyang(Stage-III) and Multiple purpose market shed at Hapoli.

 

Later, he also participated in the Myoko festivity, a unique and one of its kinds, festival of the Apatanis which started on March 20 last and will last till the end of this month.
