ITANAGAR, Jan 23: Union Minister for Earth Sciences, Kiren Rijiju urged the youth to practise clean election and shun money culture in elections terming it as “one of the root cause of corruption.”
He was speaking at the new voters interaction programme organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party Arunachal Pradesh along with Biyuram Wahge State President, at BJP headquarters, Itanagar today. 
While interaction with the youths of the state, Rijiju said that their role is bigger and responsibility should be understood. He said that the main aim of the interaction with the new voters is to let them know the intention of the government and its leaders. 
He highlighted various developmental activities initiated by state and central government in the state and also said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi country is developing in all fronts and urged the new voters to connect with the developmental process. While highlighting on the importance of vote, he said that youth should know their rights as their vote will decide the future of society. 
Rijiju urged the youth for clean election  in students body election, clean and transparent politics, shun money culture in elections terming it as “one of the  root cause of corruption.”
State President Biyuram Wahge said the BJP doesn’t work to grab power, but works for  the welfare of society adding that public confidence is most important. He also urged the youth to spread awareness on clean election among the youth in society.
