Bomdila, Oct 30: In the run up to Arunachal Pradesh Police Raising Day, DGP RP Upadhyaya today flagged off a 3-day long motorcycle rally organized by West Kameng police from Sela Pass amid great fanfare as a part of the Raising Day celebrations.  
The rally will end at Bhalukpong on November 1 next and will cover the entire length and breadth of West Kameng district. The theme of the rally is “Ride For Unity” to spread the message of national unity and integrity of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel whose birthday falls on  October 31. The participants consist of 15 officers and personnel of West Kameng police including one lady officer. The rally is being led by Superintendent of Police, West Kameng, Raja Banthia. It will halt at Dirang, Kalaktang and Bhalukpong on 30th, 31st and 1st respectively. At each place, West Kameng police has organized several programmes in participation with local communities. In Dirang, a volleyball match was organized with local youths and SSB. In Kalaktang, a similar volleyball match would be played with Kalaktang Youth Organization.

A visit to local school and interaction with students is also on the cards. ES Newsdesk
