BOMDILA, Jun 19: The concept of ‘Rice Day’ envisaged in the meeting by Deputy
Commissioner Dr. Sonal Swaroop for improvement of Aadhaar Seeding of
AAY (Antyodaya Anna Yojana) and PHH (Priority ration card) of the
district earlier this month has proved to be a game changer.
The meeting attended by the DF&CSO and the concerned administrative
officers of the district besides other stakeholders unanimously
decided to observe the ‘Rice Day’ from June 19-21 wherein cooperation
of all the Fair Price Shop dealers of each circle would be sought for
collection of Aadhaar card numbers from the AAY and PHH ration card
holders on the intended day.
As a follow up action, the administrative officers, FPS owners, GBs
and the PRI members played a vital role in disseminating the
information regarding the need for submitting the Aadhaar card numbers
prior to collection of AAY and PHH food grains from the concerned Fair
Price Shops on the intended three Rice days.
The concerted effort put in has paid handsome dividends as the turnout
of the AAY and PHH ration card holders today (first day) has been very
promising in the whole district.
