RONO HILLS, Mar 3: Responding to the call made by Rajiv Gandhi University seeking larger delivery of corporate social responsibilities in its campus, Dr. Vaishali, the better half of the varsity’s VC Professor Saket Kushwaha today donated school kits such as lunch boxes, water bottles, tool boxes and other paraphernalia to the 50-odd kindergarten students of Balvatika, the university’s women’s community run and RGU adopted preparatory school located here in the campus.
Dr. Vaishali also provided home cooked food to the students and staff and took meal with them as a gesture of love. During her interaction with the students, she urged them to pay attention to studies, be disciplined and inculcate hygiene & good food habits and appreciated the teachers for their selfless services. 
In the sidelines of the event, RGU Joint Registrar Dr. David Pertin gave a brief history of the school since its inception in 1995. The school caters to the needs of the children of university employees, campus dwellers and nearby villagers for their initial growth by providing preparatory school education.

While thanking Dr. Vaishali for the gesture, he urged other members of the community, alumni and well-wishers to come forward with more such Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities to enhance development of the state’s lone central university. He further informed that students from the varsity’s Department of Fine Arts had done commendable mural paintings in the walls of Balvatika and Government Secondary School located in the campus.

The CSR programme was addressed by the Consultant of University Library Dr. Maltesh Mottebennur, members of Arunachal University Women & Child Welfare Association (AUWCWA) and teachers of the school wherein they expressed gratitude for the noble work. RGU PR
