RONO HILLS, Feb 19: The 45th Conference of Bhartiya Hindi Parishad, Prayagraj and three-day international seminar on ‘Vartman Mein Gandhi-Darshan Ki Prasangikta Tatha Gandhi-Darshan Ka Bhartiya Sahitya Par Prabhav’ organized by the Department of Hindi, Rajiv Gandhi University concluded here on Wednesday.
With an overwhelming participation of 150 delegates from various countries and also from different parts of the country, deliberations covered all relevant dimensions of the theme spread over twelve technical sessions having Chairpersons of eminence from different Indian universities and institutes. The valedictory function was graced by State Education Minister Taba Tedir as Chief Guest who congratulated RGU’s Department of Hindi, the sponsoring agency and participants. He expressed satisfaction while informing the audience that as an Arunachalee while speaking in Hindi, he takes a lot of pride. RGU Vice Chancellor Professor Saket Kushwaha expressed thanks to the sponsoring agency and the organizer, congratulated the participants and award recipients in various categories and advised the students to follow the path of Gandhiji for overall personality development and character building. The programme was attended by Sahitya Academy Awardee Y.D. Thongchi who has been honoured with the “Hajari Prasad Dwivedi Samman” by Bhartiya Hindi Parishad. In his speech he remembered the work and contribution of Achraya Dwivedi for the development of Hindi language and literature.
