Doimukh, May 8: A one-day workshop on Nadi Vigyan was organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The workshop was held with the objective to understand the techniques of nadi vigyan and its physiology to attain holistic health and to aware the participants about prakriti of body the Vata, Pitta and Kapha.
The resource person of the workshop Dr. Laxmi Narayan Joshi, Head Department of Yogic Science, Uttarakhand, Sanskrit University, Haridwar, illustrated the science and physiology of nadi vigyan and explained the correlation of mind with disease and well being of human body. He enlightened about the concept of body type the prakriti of human body and how prakriti of human body determine our food preference and individual should know his body type which will enable him to be in right frame of mind with healthy body. Further he demonstrated the process of identifying right body alignment and applied merm therapy for improvement in body pain. 
Prof. Saket Kushwaha, Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University also addressed the gathering and expressed his thought on Indian philosophy and traditional literatures in context to health and well being and expressed how western scientist are being benefited in their research through Indian literature and ideology. He also expressed the thought for collaborative learning for RGU students with students and experts of Sanskrit University, Haridwar.
Dr. Vijay Raje, Registrar In-charge and COE of RGU also spoke about significance of yogic sciences for mental wellbeing of youth and its significance of holistic development and he urged from the participants to regularly participate in physical and yogic activities for better health and professional career.
