RONO HILLS, Dec 4: A team of RGU fraternity under the banner of ‘RGU Explore Arunachal (RGUEA)’ visited valleys of Pakke Kesang, Pappu and Seppa. 
The members also visited Life Foundation School run by RGU alumni on the outskirts of Seppa catering to the needs of poor villagers and orphans, which was formally inaugurated by Dr. Nani Tamang Jose, Controller of Examinations in-charge of RGU, as chief guest. 
Attending the inaugural programme as guest of honour, Dr. David Pertin, Joint Registrar of RGU, lauded the noble effort of the society being run by an alumnus Krishna Tajo to bring quality education to the less privileged populace and pledged to sponsor one orphan in the school.
Visiting members donated some study materials, sweets and also contributed expenses for school signboard.

The members will visit the school annually and pledged support for quality education through RGU's adoption schemes in due course.

RGUEA will explore few more places soon and launch meaningful programme on self-help basis voluntary for the benefit of society and in alignment with ‘Give Back to Society’ initiatives by the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh and Chief Rector of RGU recently. The Vice Chancellor was happy to learn about the said visit when informed, and encouraged the team to act as the agent of change. 
Special guests Kurian Thomas, Deputy Registrar, Dr. Anil Mili, Head in-charge, Dept of Physical Education, Chairman of New Light Foundation School Krishna Tajo, Solung Sonam, System Analyst of RGU and Pitam Jomoh, convenor of the programme also spoke. 
The team also visited the Government College Seppa and took stock of the preparations of the college for the university exams being conducted there.
