RONO HILLS, Nov 5: In pursuance with the directive of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the biometric attendance system became operational from Tuesday at the Rajiv Gandhi University. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Saket Kushwaha inaugurated the system and led the fingerprint data capturing session of employees this morning at Registrar's office. The session was joined by Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Amitava Mitra, Registrar in-charge Prof. Tomo Riba, Librarian Dr. M. Maltesh, Joint Registrar (Academic) Dr. David Pertin, Joint Director (Computer Centre) Tsering Megeji, other senior administrative officers and all the employees on the rolls. The Vice-Chancellor at the sidelines of the inaugural observed that it is a welcome step towards digitalization and is an effort towards enhancing the work culture in the University. ES Newsdesk
