ITANAGAR, Sep 15: The two-day annual Technovation V3.0 Festival of Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic (RGGP) started here on Sunday.
Technovation is a yearly technical festival whose celebration started in 2017 with the motive of making learning fun for the students with each year having a different theme. This year’s theme was Metacognition which means encouraging the students to know and understand their own thought processes. Chief Information Commissioner, State Information Commission, Dr Joram Begi along with Professor Vasant Dattatraye Barve, former Principal, College Of Engineering, Pune attended the inaugural programme. Chief coordinator of Technovation V3.0 and lecturer Rollin Sorum briefly introduced about the festival. RGGP Principal AK Tripathy while addressing the gathering urged the participants to accept challenges in a positive spirit. Professor Barve said sky is the limit for the young students and reminded that Indian scientists have earned respect across the world through their scientific research works. State CIC
said that it's very appropriate for the polytechnics to celebrate Engineers’ Day as the students are engineers in making and teachers are engineer-makers.
The main attractions of the first day were exhibition, slow bike race, culinary master, presentino, kitkat, treasure hunt, quiz etc. Participants from all polytechnics of the state are attending the event.
