PANGIN, Apr 26: Restoration work in the recently damaged Pasighat-Pangin Trans Arunachal Highway has commenced in full swing with deployment of heavy machinery, drilling, blasting and deep earth cutting by TK Engineering Consortium. As a long term plan, in order to avoid inconvenience during such incidents in the foreseeable future, provision for an alternate route near the highway is also being planned.

The Deputy Commissioner Siang District, Rahul Singh is taking continuous updates on the matter and is also trying to ensure that the restoration work is completed and the road opened for commuting at the earliest for the greater convenience of the public. An executive order restricting heavy vehicular and machinery movement have also been issued in this regard so that there is no threat to human life and further damage to the road can be avoided.
