KHONSA, Sep 29: Almost four years after being rescued, a Himalayan Serow has found a new home at the Miao mini zoo today, thanks to the combined efforts of the Tirap administration and the Khonsa Forest Division.
Waren Aboh had rescued the orphaned antelope aged 3 months from the hills of Kheti village and had cared for the animal for the last four years from his own resources. Thereafter, Deputy Commissioner, Tirap, PN Thungon, fended for the animal for the last six months before handing it to zoo authorities on Saturday.
