ITANAGAR, Apr 22: The Election Commission of India has announced that fresh polls will be conducted in 18 polling stations in the two districts of Kurung Kumey and Kra- Daadi of the state on Saturday, April 27.
Under Kurung Kumey, in 18- Palin AC, the five polling stations where re-polling will be conducted are 18/4-Sangram,18/21-Joru,
18/23-Chollo,18/37-Restaring & 18/38-Rakso. In 19-Nyapin AC, re-polls will be held in the three polling stations of 19/23-Cheki, 19/25-Pating & 19/29-Kambang.
In 20-TaIi AC, re-polls will be arranged in 20/06-Gimba, 20/12-Korehapa & 20/18-Zara booths. 21-Koloriang AC will have six polling stations which are - 21/23-Damin, 21/24-Taba,21/27-Langbang, 21/28-Nampe, 21/30-Nikoriang & 21/34-Pani.
In 18-Palin AC re-polling will be held at the 25-Amsukpinja polling station only for Assembly Constituency.
Polls will be conducted from 6 am to 2 pm and the concerned District Election Officer/Returning Officers have been directed to take necessary arrangements for the fresh poll. Police department will make appropriate security arrangements for the conduct of the fresh polls.
The office of the state CEO had also appealed to all members of the political parties, contesting candidates, their election agents and public to take note of the above and make necessary arrangements for participation and satisfactory completion of the fresh polls.
Concerned DEOs, ROs have also been asked to give wide publicity in these polling areas and inform the political parties and contesting candidates in writing. CEO Press Release
