ITANAGAR, Feb 19: In order to carry out major repair work of Tower No. DATL 003 of Daporijo-Aalo 132 KV segment of the transmission line which has become vulnerable due to soil erosion, the 132 KV Daporijo-Aalo-Pasighat transmission lines shall remain suspended continuously from 0600 hrs of February 21 to 1700 hrs of February 24.
As a result of this, power supply to the districts of West Siang, Siang. Upper Siang, East Siang, Lower Siang, Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley, Lohit and Namsai will be disrupted completely or partially during the shutdown period depending on availability of alternate sources. The scheduled shutdown has received approval of the 165th OCC of NERPC on request from the Department of Power for carrying out the said repair work and is further subject to weather conditions at Daporijo.
The department has sought cooperation from the consumers to bear with the inconvenience. ES Newsdesk
