ITANAGAR, Sep 12: Several organisation leaders today met the authority of the National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) and submitted a representation for immediate repairing and maintenance of the Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) from Talo-Yapak Geko.
The team of leaders led by Nyishi Elite Society  (NES) General Secretary and Palin Employees Welfare Association (PEWA) President Heri Maring met NHIDCL General Manager Col. Prabhakar Kumar at his office here and submitted a memorandum for immediate repairing/ maintenance of TAH from 20KM to 50KM Talo-Yakha camp to Yapap Gyeko.
While discussion with the officers of the NHIDCL, Maring informed them that Joram-Koloriang road is one of the oldest road which is the lifeline of Lower Subansiri, Kra Daadi and Kurung Kumey districts and is also very busy and important road in strategic point of view.
The road stretch is in a deplorable condition and non-trafficable at many locations and there is every possibility of loss of life and property. It is seen that the said situation is cropped-up due to un-attending on maintenance of the said road after taken over by NHIDCL from BRO. But the traffic movement on the said road is unavoidable due to absence of any alternate road and under such circumstances commuters are facing a lot of problems, while passing through the road, Maring said.
