CHOWKHAM, Oct 21: Much to the delight of Parshuram and Chowkham inhabitants, the  re-carpeting of 56 km NH – 52 has been completed making traffic movement smooth. The road once dotted with potholes and water logging was a worry for both pilgrims and the inhabitants of Wakro, Medo and Chowkham areas.
The road from Brahmakund to Chowkham partly in Lohit and Namsai districts was being looked after by 48 BRTF Udayak and 1444 BCC Jengtu unit. They have been putting much effort to ensure better road condition for smooth vehicular movement.
“Amidst much hardship under adverse weather condition and various unforeseen hurdles, we were able to complete the road. The road is also in top priority for up gradation and survey work for double lane is in the offing due to its strategic and pilgrimage importance”, informed PR Bandhu, OC 1444 BCC.
