PASIGHAT, Apr 27: The three-day Regional Sports Meet(Boys)-2019 kicked off today here at Kendriya Vidyalaya Pasighat with   participation of young sporting talents  from Kendriya Vidyalayas located in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur and Nagaland.
Inaugurating the meet, DC East Siang, Dr. Kinny Singh assured all possible support from the District Administration in various endeavours of KV Pasighat and extended her best wishes to the participants. DC also released the Annual School Magazine of KV Pasighat on the occasion.
Around 70 students in U-14 , U-17 and U-19 categories are competing  in various track and field events of the meet, conducted under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. Besides the host KV Pasighat, KV teams of Tinsukia, Duliajan, Dinjan, Dimapur, Tawang, Tuli, Chabua  are taking part in the meet.
Principal KV Pasighat, Rajesh Kumar in his welcome address highlighted  the objectives of holding the Regional Sports Meet of KV schools.ADC (HQ) Tatdo Borang, Principal JNV, Pasighat  S. Gupta, and CE PWD, M. Bam also attended the opening ceremony.
The sports meet will conclude on April 29 with prize distribution ceremony. DIPRO
