NAHARLAGUN, May 15:

 

Five day refreshers training cum workshop for certification of District trainers by National Institute of Open Schooling were attended by District ASHA Nodal officer, District community Mobilizer, GNM, Data Assistant, and health Assistant at ATI Naharlagun today.

 

 Organized by National Health Mission in collaboration with National Institute of Open Schooling, the objective of the training is to equip the Districts trainers with knowledge and skill required to train the ASHA’s in most efficient way. Thereafter, on completion of training the District Masters Trainers will impart training to ASHAs at district and block level and help in giving certification to ASHAs by National Institute of Open Schooling.

 

Director RRC NE Dr Bamin Tada terming ASHA as the most important frontline health worker said, without the involvement of ASHA the objectives of National Health Mission cannot be achieved thus to enhance the competency and professional credibility of ASHA under NHM it is pertinent to assess their knowledge and skill and build their self confidence to ensure high quality service to community and to achieved the defined bench mark.

 

 Dr. D. Padung, NO (NHM) while giving briefing about the training urged all the participants to take the training seriously and equip themselves with required technical knowledge and skilled to impart training to ASHAs and to clear their doubt and share their problem. He informed that training will focus on all the important topics which required for improving the skills of ASHA and their performance. Resources person for the training were Devajit Bora state facilitator RRC, Amit Raj Roy Consultant Community process Nagaland.
