ITANAGAR, Mar 16: A three-day Refresher Training Course on various office rules and procedures began on Monday here at the Conference Hall of the Governor’s Secretariat in Raj Bhavan.
Officers and staff of the Secretariat and its attached departments are attending the course which is being conducted at the initiative of the Governor.
In the inaugural session, Deputy Secretary to Governor Minik Damin exhorted the trainees to abreast themselves with latest government rules and regulations for smooth functioning of the office. Director (Training), Administrative Training Institute, Naharlagun Pate Marik stated that since both Central and Arunachal governments are stressing on financial discipline, the training will focus on financial rules and procedures along with other issues. He also underscored the need for proper documentation, record keeping and regular updates of all official documents for timely promotion and clearance of pension papers.
In the technical session, the ATI Director as a Resource Person highlighted the topics such as office procedures, promotion and Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) and gave an overview of establishment matters, challenges and the way ahead. PRO Raj Bhavan
