Aalo, Mar 18: The three-day long joint Indo-Bangladesh White Water Rafting Expedition which commenced from Thumbin on March 16 culminated today at Pangin.
The expedition was led by Lieutenant Colonel B N Jha with one officer, one Junior Commissioned Officer and seven other ranks of Indian Army and two officers, one Junior Commissioned       Officer and seven other ranks of Bangladesh Army. The Bangladesh team was led by Captain Hasibur Rehman.
The expedition team covered a distance of 85 km over Siyom river where Level 2 and Level 3 rapids were encountered en route. The traditional flagging in ceremony organised by Along Military Station at Pangin  was done by  Brigadier Rajeev Thakur, Sena Medalist & Vishist Seva Medalist.
The flagging in ceremony was also attended by Brigadier C Dayalan and other civilian dignitaries. Bangladesh team has expressed their gratitude & appreciation for the conduct of the expedition and administrative arrangements made by Along Military Station. DIPRO
