ITANAGAR, Apr 27: On the occasion of the World Veterinary Day, with the aim of spreading awareness about rabies vaccine, a free rabies vaccination programme was conducted today here at Abotani Colony.
More than 50 dogs and cats underwent vaccination with free consultations during the programme organised by KM VETS, under supervision of Dr.Yab Mate and volunteered by Dr Likha Yaju and Dr Yangki Tamut.
Dr.Yab Mate said that mass awareness about rabies vaccine is necessary since the numbers of pets are increasing day by day and although rabies is a fatal disease and a public health concern, it is 100% preventable through timely vaccination. ES Newsdesk
