MECHUKA, Apr 9: The mortal remains of late Pasang Wangchuk Sona, the former Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly and Minister was laid to rest as per the Memba traditional rituals at Singbir village near Mechuka on Thursday.
Family, relatives, friends and well-wishers thronged at his Mechuka residence this morning to pay their last homage to the departed soul before his mortal remain was taken to Singbir village for the last rites. Pasang D. Sona, the eldest son of late P.W. Sona and the current Speaker of State Assembly on behalf of his family expressed deep gratitude to all the well-wishers, friends and relatives for their love and support during this testing time.
