Naharlagun, Dec 26: Additional District Magistrate cum Highway Administrator Talo Potom today appealed to all stakeholders to cooperate with the implementing agency and administration in the speedy execution of the four lane road in the state capital.
Potom and other officials along with Highway Executive Engineer Nani Tat who inspected the under-construction four lane road near Dree Ground also passed the necessary instructions for starting the bridge/culvert construction.
Speaking to the media, Potom said that there are some obstacles near the Dree Maidan within the RoW, which have been resolved after discussion with the landowners as per the rule.
“The Chief Secretary and his team had also inspected the road earlier on December 7 and gave instructions for early construction of the highway,” he said.
He said that adequate security has been deployed throughout the stretch of the road so that there are no obstacles in the near future.
Potom also said that during the inspection additional space along the road has been identified that will be used for public purposes such as vending and other purposes. However he categorically stated that no one will be given land allotment in the designated space.
