ITANAGAR, Sep 3: New Secretary, Sports & Youth Affairs  (SYA) Ameya Abhyankar, held a review meeting  along with the Departmental officers at  the office chamber of Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs Mama Natung today. The meeting was called by the Minister  to review the ongoing projects under the Department of Sports including Khelo India.
Natung  directed the officers to complete all the sanctioned projects under Khelo India within the stipulated time. He stressed that necessary instructions may be given to all the contractors to maintain the contract agreement and execute the work as per specifications wherein quality of work should not be compromised at any cost. Natung asserted  that all the ongoing projects under Khelo India will be completed within contract period for which Department is committed. He further directed the concern officer to call a meeting of all the contractors in order to speed up the work progress.
Further, the new Secretary (SYA) said that quality of work should not be compromised. After completion of the asset, we should plan strategies to maintain the asset for the future. He also suggested that the state sports Department & Sports Authority of Arunachal should come up with set goals to achieve the target for promoting sports in the state. In this regard a meeting of Arunachal Olympic Association, state level registered sports Associations & other stake holders will be organized soon. Newsdesk
