ITANAGAR, May 4:The project affected families of proposed Lower Subansiri Hydro Electric Project at Gerukamukh on Friday called for proper reassessment to check bogus beneficiaries of land compensation against the acquisition of land for the said mega project.
In a representation to chief secretary, it alleged that the beneficiary list prepared and notified by state government contains bogus beneficiaries who don’t belong from the area nor owned any land in the affected area but are entitled for compensation.
Further alleging that the concern authorities even didn’t conduct proper assessment for the acquisition of the land, it requested the CS to ensure fair and just compensation besides ensuring strict provision to avoid phony claimants.
