Aalo, Feb 10: A huge procession to spread Swami Vivekananda’s messages of man making and character building was taken out here on Sunday last which was participated by the monks, teachers and alumni of Ramakrishna Mission School Aalo.
The procession with banners, posters, band party and slogans covering the streets of the township started from the residence of Boken Ete, who played a pivotal role in the school’s formation and was flagged off by the General Secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Belur Math Revered Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj who was here to inaugurate its Secondary School Building. It was Swamiji’s homecoming after 23 years since his departure as Head of the institution. As an able academic administrator for more than a decade, he was instrumental in nurturing RKM Aalo. Later, he was the AGS of Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Belur Math for 10 long years till his elevation as the General Secretary.
Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj and his team of monks offered floral tribute at the samadhi of Boken Ete. Ramakrishna Mission Alumni Association, Aalo also had a detailed interaction with Swamiji at the school’s prayer hall. DIPRO
