 ITANAGAR, Apr 21: Panchayat Members of 6-Chetam Anchal Block has lodged a complaint to Chief Secretary against one M/s Kange Construction Company for allegedly using forged documents to avail the tender and project works of more than 33 KM PMGSY road in Chetam, Upper Subansiri district.

Speaking to the reporters at press club, Zilla Parishad Member (ZPM) Tako Mosi divulged that overshadowing the laid down norms of PMGSY and ARDA the alleged firm has managed to use forged documents to avail the project.  ‘The total cost of the project is around Rs 38 crore and to qualify the tender bid the credential amount is Rs 18 crore or one-third of the project cost but the alleged firm has used forged documents claiming work experience of Rs 14 crore in Assam, whereas the Executive Engineer, PWD Amingaon, Assam has refused any such work under its jurisdiction,’ he said.

Also demanding strict action against erring officials for ignoring forged documents and favouritism, ZPM has urged for fact finding committee and to replace all existing officers from the said division for free and fair trail so that development project is not hampered.

Meanwhile, M/s Kange Construction Company Proprietor has clarified that all allegations levelled by ZPM and rival bidder are untrue and false. Company further added  that  alleged rival bidder is trying to obstruct the ongoing works by engaging different means .
