SEPPA, May 13: In a commendable example for many to emulate, PRI members namely ASM Lalita Cheda and Gram Chairperson Metung Cheda of 63 Wote Cheda GPC under Pipu Circle in East Kameng recently built a small water reservoir for the people of the Wote area on self help basis. It was informed that the people of the small hamlet were facing acute water crisis since a long period of time.

“Despite of water resources being available nearby the villagers were not able to store it due to lack of a reservoir. So instead of waiting for government help to arrive we decided to construct a small cement tank according to our capacity,” informed the two PRIs.

This, in turn has for the time being solved the water problem for the village which has almost 100 plus dwellers, the duo added.

Meanwhile, Gyadom Welfare Society (GWS) chairman Domsing Cheda has lauded Lalita and Metung for their social effort.
