Tawang, Jun 26: For making the forthcoming Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight (IDCF-2019) programme successful in Tawang district, an Intensive Diarrhoea Control Steering Committee review meeting of the district level committees was convened today here at DC Conference Hall.
DMO Dr.Wangdi Lama in his address said that for covering the entire Tawang district right from Luguthang to Zemithang during the IDCF fortnight, continuous trainings are being imparted to the students, ASHAs, Anganwadi workers and villagers about hand washing techniques and maintenance of health & hygiene. Although there has been no reported diarrhoea related death case in Tawang, the aim should be to make sure that there are no deaths due to diarrhoea, he further added.
DPM, NHM Tawang Kenli Doje presented a slide show on the general health scenario of Tawang with exchange of views and suggestions from the members. EAC Dochora Lama asked all departments to extend their support to make the public aware about the preventive measures of diarrhoea and get every child immunized. DIPRO
