PASIGHAT, Nov 9: The preparation for the 3 day long North East Agri Fair is afoot at the playground of College of Horticulture & Forestry, Pasighat which will be starting from November 11-13 next.
Speaking about the importance of the mega Agri fair, Dr. B.N. Hazarika, Dean, CHF, Pasighat, CAU Imphal said that, the hundreds of farmers not only from Arunachal Pradesh but also from other Northeast states will take part in the 3 day Agri fair.
“This Northeast Agri fair will give platform to several farmers and self help groups to display and sell their agri products while learning from other farmers. I appeal all the interested farmers and general public of the region to visit and witness the Agri Fair”, added Hazarika who is dedicatedly working day and night to make the event successful.
It is worth mentioning here that, under Dean, Hazarika’s personal initiative and interest, a rare kind of small hill structured landscape is being erected around the entry gate of the CHF, Pasighat in which all the basic features of Arunachal Pradesh and its landscape beauty have been displayed with special display of a book cover page of his own book compiled some years ago. When asked about the idea as to how he have conceptualized the idea, Hazarika fondly said that, the hill is being developed without any funding, but arranged from his own resources and pocket.
