PASIGHAT, Oct 3: Preparations for the 3-day celebration of Lambona Longa (Guru Diwas) scheduled from October 5-7 next is underway with construction of stalls, stage and other arrangements including erection of a 20 feet tall towering statue of Golgi Bote Talom Rukbo which will be unveiled on Friday next in the presence of Governor BD Mishra.
The venue which is the Central Donyi Polo Yelam Kebang, Pasighat has been decorated with flags of Donyi Poloism, the indigenous religion of the state.
Golgi Bote Talom Rukbo, is popularly acknowledged as Guru for glorifying and pioneering Donyi-Poloism, the indigenous religion of the Tani people of the state. He is credited for revitalising and institutionalising effort to protect indigenous faith and belief from the onslaught of modernity and other alien religions.
Golgi Bote Statue Erection Committee, Chairman, Delong Padung, CDPYK, President, Ajem Tayeng and IFCSAP President, Tajom Tasung have appealed all the indigenous faith believers of the state and neighbouring Assam to come and be part of the Lambona Longa (Guru Diwas).
