PANGIN, Apr 16:In the question paper leakage issue of the UDC, LDC and MTS examination conducted in Siang District on August-September 2017, a preliminary investigation report was today submitted by the Investigating Officer, Police Station, Pangin.

A DIPRO report states that Smty. Omoty Karpuk, a JT (SSA) presently posted at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Boleng who was an invigilator in Govt. Higher Secondary School, Pangin during the examination had kept one copy of the question paper of UDC examination in her possession after completion of the written examination of UDC on 19th August 2017. The question paper was then taken from her house by Shri Kamin Megu, a teacher presently posted at KGVB, Motum, Mebo Sub-Division, East Siang district and who was one of the candidates in the examination. Megu then further shared it with Shri Kaling Taki, an office staff at Horticulture College, Pasighat who had also appeared in the examination.

It has been stated that images of the question paper including that of a boy holding the allegedly leaked question paper which were widely circulated in social media were then photographed by Shri Kaling Taki and exchanged with Shri Daniel Eko who was allegedly a member of the Siang District Students Union (SDSU) and who further shared it with Shri Takiang Pabin, an advocate.

A Written examination for recruitment of UDC, LDC and MTS and subsequent computer test for UDC, LDC and viva-voce for MTS was conducted last year during August-September 2017. In the course of the recruitment process allegations were made claiming leakage of question paper of UDC and certain photographs were uploaded and circulated in social media forums. To unearth the facts, an FIR against unknown individuals was lodged by Deputy Commissioner Siang District on 6th October 2017.

Earlier a petition was filed by Shri Daniel Eko, one of the accused, in the Hon'ble High Court against the ongoing recruitment process.
