Secretary General, People’s Party of Arunachal, Kaling Jerang, was seriously injured in a road accident when the vehicle he was travelling collided with a truck.

The mishap occurred on Thursday morning at GTC region near JNV turning, along with Jerang few other children travelling with him also sustained serious injuries and were rushed to General Hospital, Pasighat immediately.

While talking to this reporter, Jerang informed from Hospital that, he was on the way from Itanagar to his hometown Pangin to see his ailing mother who also just returned from Guwahati after a medical treatment. ‘I had just spoken to her at around 5 am who was waiting for us at home, but after knowing that we met with an accident on the way, my mother passed away of shock,’added Jerang sadly.  

Along with Jerang, his children, 3 sons and a daughter also sustained serious injuries.

A case have been said to been registered in this connection.

Local MLA Kaling Moyong and DC, Pasighat, Tamiyo Tatak besides many other political leaders and society heads have visited Jerang at Hospital and wished for his speedy recovery.
