TEZU, Apr 8: The voters of Lohit who have been requisitioned for election duties in various polling stations of the district exercised their franchise for the simultaneous elections 2019 through postal ballots on April 6 and 7.
All postal ballot voters from the 44th Tezu-Sunpura Assembly constituency cast their votes at government secondary school Tezu auditorium hall. Voting started at 10.00am in the morning and the long queue of voters was visible till late evening. Till 6:30 pm in the evening, a total of 660 votes were cast. The ballot boxes were checked and sealed in presence of representatives of various political parties.
General Observer Naba Gopal Hira, Expenditure Observer Kailash Karkhile, Police Observer Sathiya Priya and DEO Tezu cum DC Prince Dhawan also visited the polling booth to ensure free and fair postal ballot casting.
