Aalo, Jan 15: Kerang Upper Primary School celebrated its Golden Jubilee today amid cheers and applauses at its school ground with Education Minister Taba Tedir attending as Chief Guest.
Lauding the teachers, public and students of yesteryears who were instrumental in shaping the school, Tedir said that teachers in government schools are more trained than private schools and brought good results in the past. Close scrutiny reveals that poor performances by students in CBSE are largely due to the fault of students themselves, parents, teachers and SMC and fate of the schools hang around public, SMC and GBs, he said. He inaugurated the school gate donated by alumni Dr. Taking Gammi, Sr. VO and school extension building on the occasion. Earlier the Minister also inaugurated the Yipe school building at Kaying village and MDM Shed at H.S.S Kaying.
