ITANAGAR, Jun 7:The XIVth Board meeting of Arunachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board (APSPCB) was held at Paryawaran Bhavan, Yupia road today.
The meeting was chaired by Chairman, APSPCB, Techi Tagi Tara and attended by other board members which included Chairman, Arunachal Pradesh Forest Corporation, Talo Mugli, Director (Industries), Rajeev Takuk, IFS, CF, Joint Secretary (Environment & Forests), Dagmik Riba, Dr. Amitava Mitra, Professor, Rajiv Gandhi University etc.
The Board Members deliberated and discussed on Action Taken Report (ATR) of the decisions taken during the last Board meeting, the audited account of the Board and the Budget proposal for the financial year 2018-19 and various other important aspects pertaining to the Board.
IFS, Member Secretary, Tapek Riba delivered the welcome speech and deliberated upon the various aspects and activities of the Board. Er. Thana Manlong, Environmental Engineer through a power point presentation highlighted the various activities of the Board.
In his address Chairman, APSPCB, Techi Tagi Tara urged upon the members present to reduce the use of single use plastics to commemorate the World Environment Day, 2018 and to disseminate the same idea among denizens. He shared the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make India a plastic pollution free country.
Later, the board members approved the Budget proposal for the financial year 2018-19.
