ITANAGAR, Mar 27: Arunachal Pradesh Police has registered 20 FIR , detained 133 people and imposed fine of 168700  in the last 24hrs  for violating lockdown rules in force in the state to combat the novel coronavirus outbreak, stated a release from Police Headquarters.
In its press communiqué, DGP  RP Upadhyaya stated  ‘We are taking strict measures for better implementation of the lockdown and to address issues concerning people. We have also set up a dedicated 24-hour control room.'
Further  all districts SPs have been directed to enforce the lockdown in an effective manner  particularly at 38 permanent and 50 temporary check posts across the state.
Essential services like grocery, vegetable, medical shops  are allowed to remain open.
As DGP of the State my appeal to all citizens of Arunachal Pradesh is to please cooperate with us and follow the instructions and guidelines  given by the adminstration regarding the lockdown,  he said.
