RUKSIN, Oct 26: A police personnel and juvenile were dead and several injured when a police van lost control after one of its tyres bursted near the Sila Gaon under Silapathar P.S of Dhemaji District of Assam on Friday.
According to the police, Police van bearing a Reg.No. AR. 01G/5211 met the accident at 7 am when a police team with eight police personnel and one juvenile were on their way to Pasighat from Naharlagun.
The deceased personnel has been identified as Constable Anil Hibu (25).
According to O.C Silapathar, three injured police personnel were admitted at Model Hospital at Silapathar and three others have been referred to Bakin Pertin General Hospital Pasighat further medical treatment.
