ROING, Apr 13: Acting on a tip off, the Roing Police led by SI Abraham Taying conducted a raid to apprehend the absconding drug peddler Sipi Miso at Intaya Village, Roing on Thursday night. During the raid, the alleged drug peddler  was arrested after the Police gave a hard chase. 
 
Two plastic packets containing cocaine weighing about 8 gms, 8 mobile handsets, one local dao and cash amount was seized from his possession, in the presence of the town magistrate. The Investigating Officer of the case, SI. Taying said that the alleged accused had been absconding and evading Police arrest since the last raid conducted at his residence on March 27 last, wherein his 3 co-accused were arrested with cocaine weighing 11.22 gms in their possession. 
 
A case vide Roing PS Case No. 15/2018 U/S 22(b)/24(a) NDPS Act has been registered and is under investigation. Meanwhile, SP Roing Sanjay Kr. Sain while lauding the team for their sincere and prompt action has reiterated and warned that there is no place for drug peddlers and addicts in Roing.The SP has been closely monitoring the case since the initial stages.
