Police investigate after newborn body recovered from jungle

PASIGHAT, Jan 18: A newborn baby was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the jungle of Boying village of Pasighat recently, informed All Arunachal Pradesh Student Union, General Secretary, Tobom Dai who while expressing shock over the report has urged the authorities to immediately nab the accused involved in the gruesome act.

According to police sources, the president of Boying village, Tobuk Dai alerted the police at around 11 am about the matter.

Subsequently, a team of police rushed to the spot and brought the body to Bakin Pertin General Hospital Pasighat for an autopsy.

An investigation has been launched to unearth the truth behind the mysterious death of the child, according to police sources.
