Bank Cashier murder

PASIGHAT, Feb 27:  In a major breakthrough in the murder case of Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank, Mebo branch Cashier who was brutally murdered on the evening of February 7 last inside the bank, the Pasighat police led by Superintendent of Police, Prashant Gautam arrested two of the prime accused from West Bengal.

The case which had shocked the entire Mebo Sub-Division, East Siang District and the whole state was cracked within a span of 20 days for which police worked day and night to trace out the culprits, shared SP Pasighat. “From the very moment after the incident, our team of police started to work on the case and after numerous efforts in tracking using all available means of modern technology we could finally nab the culprits from West Bengal. The case was very complicated, however, with the moral support from all NGOs, student unions and other civil societies, we left no stone unturned in cracking the case and finally we succeed”, added the 2013 batch IPS officer who not only supervised the case but was personally involved in the case as investigating officer.

On the fateful evening of 7th February 2018, late Bomge Nyori, Cashier, APRB Mebo Branch was brutally murdered by these murderers who had come to loot the bank.

The SP has declined to name the arrested persons, but has said that they are from outside the state and are now in transit and will be directly lodged at Jully Central Jail, Itanagar and shall be produced before the magistrate on Wednesday.
