ITANAGAR, Sep 7: The Capital Police on Saturday solved a motorcycle theft case, arrested the accused and recovered the stolen bike.
Earlier, an FIR was lodged by one T Tare that in the intervening night of September 4, few miscreants had stolen his Yamaha R-15 bike parked near Tago Memorial Hospital.
A case was registered at Nirjuli PS vide NRJ PS C/No. 70/2019 U/sec 379 IPC and investigation was initiated.
The SP Capital directed Inspector Tadu Hassang, OC PS Nirjuli to analyze all the CCTV footage of the house and the vicinity.
Accordingly, the CCTV footages of nearby areas were scanned in which the faces of the bike lifters were quite visible. Coincidentally on the night of September 5, the public of Ganga village at Itanagar caught three boys red-handed while they were stealing a bike and later handed them over to Itanagar PS.
Police found the three boys to be the same as that of the bike lifters in the earlier case.
Out of three 3 boys arrested, two have been sent to observation home Pasighat on Saturday and third accused identified as B Obi of Damsite, Naharlagun has been arrested.
Police said that further investigation is going on in the matter and more recoveries are expected. Newsdesk
