PASIGHAT, Jan 25: To promote a healthy competitive spirit among the denizens of Pasighat for city cleanliness, the Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) has organized cleanest ward competition among the eight wards of Pasighat Municipality. Ward no. 4 (Jarku Muri line Airfield area) was adjudged the cleanest ward,while ward no. 06 (GuminNagar) got the second cleanest Ward followed closely by ward No. 1 (GTC) and ward No. 02 ( Forest Colony area) both placed in the third place.
In this regard, a panel of Judges conducted site visits of all the wards today and and made on spot evaluation based on criterion of viz. overall hygiene & cleanliness of wards, community & volunteers participation in cleanliness drive, compliance on Swachh Teerth campaign, Feedback from public, cleanliness of community toilets.
In the run up to the 75th Republic Day celebrations, a massive cleanliness drives led by respective Ward Councilllors was also carried out with support of volunteers and denizens . The three cleanest wards will be awarded on the 75th R- Day celebration on Friday. DIPRO
