MENGIO, Aug 7: A plantation drive was carried out at Government Girls’ Residential School, Pan and Government Residential School, Nyopang under Mengio and Silsango circles of Papum Pare district by an NGO, Clean and Green Sagalee with the theme ‘Let's Make Our Temple Clean & Green’ on August 6 & 7.
Hundreds of saplings were planted in and around the campus of both the schools along with distribution of dustbins and volleyball kits. Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director of C&GS, Gollo Nagu Nguri extended gratitude to the students, GBs and other members for participating in the noble cause.“I strongly believe that it’s our duty and responsibility to give back to society and nature by planting trees as well as by protecting nature and through such initiatives we can make Sagalee a clean and hygienic constituency in the state,” MD added.
