NARI, Jul 24: At least 100 plant saplings were planted and 50 others distributed during a plantation drive along the roadside at Nari town in Lower Siang District on July 23 last.
Organised by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Nari-Koyu Block in collaboration with the Department of Environment & Forest, Nari Division, the plantation event was attended by local BJP legislator Kento Rina, who besides leading the plantation drive with a plantation of his own, also advised and encouraged the gathering to carry out such environmental friendly activities on a regular basis.
The Nari Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bani Lego, Divisional Forest Officer T Mize, Range Forest Officer O Moyong along with Nari-Koyu BJP Mandal President Marbom Doye were other dignitaries who took part in the plantation drive while also speaking on the importance of tree plantation. ES Newsdesk
