ITANAGAR, Nov 8: A photography cum Photo-walk for children in the age group of 7-12 years was conducted by the Arunachal Photography Club (APC) in collaboration with the Directorate of Research at Itafort on Wednesday with the theme, “Know Your City”.
A group of around 20 children participated in the workshop, wherein in the technical session, Dr Kaling Megu, Treasurer, APC highlighted about the theme of the workshop and encouraged them to take up photography as a hobby. Bengia Mrinal, President of APC explained the need of such noble initiative and encouraged the children to venture out and explore their creativity through photography. Gagam Jamoh, Asst Gen Secy, taught the basics of Photography.
Batem Pertin, Director of the Research Department briefed the participants about the history of Itafort and Bulton Dutta, Deputy Director(Archealogy), Research Dept, explained in detail about the structure of Itafort and its hidden history. He urged the participants to become archeologist in future.
The participants were given hands-on training on basics of photography by the mentors and a quiz competition on the theme was also organized wherein Team Civil Secretariat emerged the winner and Egam L Ete won the ‘Photographer of the Day’ award. Arunachal Photography Club is a society registered organization comprising of photographers from all across the state.
