ITANAGAR, Sep 25: A two-day photo exhibition on the theme Rashtriya Poshan Maah got underway at the Gumto Community Hall, Papum Pare District on Monday.
The exhibition is being organised by the Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office Itanagar, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in collaboration with Directorate of Women and Child Development, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh.
Inaugurating the photo exhibition, Circle Officer, Gumto, Taya Chuma, encouraged the participants to know about the nutritional facts of food. As majority of the participants were workers of the ICDS Doimukh, she asked them to share the knowledge with the people of their locality.      
Resource person Dr. L Chukhi, spoke at length about how to take care of children under 6 years of age, pregnant women and lactating mothers. She explained to the participants the benefits of Zinc, Folic acid and Iron.
Earlier, in the inaugural speech, Arati Tayeng, Deputy Director ICDS, District ICDS Cell, Yupia, informed the participants about the aims and objectives of the Rastriya Poshan Maah. She said that the campaign focuses on cultivating practices that foster health, wellness, and immunity against diseases and malnutrition.
On the occasion, Rakesh Doley, in-charge Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office Itanagar, explained the theme and the aim behind the photo exhibition.  
Maya Murtem, CDPO, Doimukh, hosted the inaugural function of the Photo exhibition, which was attended by over 120 participants.
