Itanagar, Jan 29: Director Postal Services, Arunachal Pradesh Division, organized a Philately Exhibition at Science Centre, Itanagar today.
Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, the Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex Prince Dhawan said that India Post is the only department which can reach the most interior and remote places and provide services to the people.
Reiterating that in a technologically advanced world, postal department has not lost its importance and still provides its best services to the people, the DC lauded the department for organising the event and hoped that people from all walks of life would gather knowledge as stamps collected from all over the world through the ages were displayed during the programme. Students from various schools in the Capital Complex participated in the day long exhibition. A seminar on philately and quiz competition was also held among the students on the occasion.
Senior journalist and philatelist, Pradip Kumar Behra also attended the occasion as the guest of honour .
